Balance
The relationship between acidity, sweetness, tannin, alcohol and fruit. A balanced wine has no single element sticking out — the alcohol is not obtrusive, the acidity is not sharp, the tannin is not harsh.

Balance is relative to style rather than absolute. A wine can be balanced at 15% alcohol or at 8%.
